SustainableEnergy in Mozambique

Working in Mozambique

Mozambique is one of the world's poorest countries. 75 % of Mozambique's 20.5 million inhabitants earn less than 2 USD a day.

SustainableEnergy has undertaken project activities in Mozambique since 2004. Geographically, we focus on the province of Sofala in the centre of Mozambique and on the capital city of Maputo in the south.

In Sofala, we work with the communities’ integration in local value chains and their ability to identify and implement renewable-energy activities.  In Maputo, we work on improving the capacity of local communities to enter into partnerships and dialogue with authorities in relation to urban environment and planning.
